  • Sunrise River Elementary School, built in 2004, is the school district's most tech-friendly school, offers a wide variety of technology and "specials," such as Spanish, music, and art.

In the fall of 2015, Sunrise began offering Project Lead the Way Launch, a STEM-based problem solving curriculum that employs engineering and critical thinking. With the implementation of Launch, North Branch Area Public Schools offers PLTW curriculum at every level of the educational experience. Sunrise is also a committed "Farm to Table" school, and utilizes the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program to provide a safe and secure experience for all students.

Sunrise River Elementary School staff work each day to provide a comprehensive educational program to the district's children, grades K-4. Sunrise River's 1100 students are arranged into three "neighborhoods" to create smaller environments for students and families. Teachers and staff strive each day to provide quality core instruction to all students, as well as providing targeted intervention to students in areas of need.

Sunrise's high quality programming and staff have resulted in its designation as a "Reward School" by the Minnesota Department of Education, in both 2013 and 2014.

An award-winning, tech-friendly school, Sunrise is a great place for students to get a "jump start" on a high quality education.
