Spring sports meetings coming up Feb. 27
All spring sports information meetings will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 at 6 pm. High School and Middle School parents and players are encouraged to attend to get season information from the coaches. Attendees can enter the high school through Doors 1, 5, or 11 and go directly to the rooms assigned below for their meetings.
Signs will posted throughout the school directing to the locations. Practice start dates for each sport are also listed below.
Baseball (Grades 9-12): Media Center – Start date 3/13/23
Boys Golf (7-12): B149 – 3/20/23
Boys Tennis (7-12): Vikings Team Room – 3/27/23
Boys and Girls Track & Field (9-12): HS Commons/Cafeteria – 3/13/23
Clay Target (9-12): B139 – 3/28/23
Girls Golf (7-12) : B112 – 3/20/23
Softball (7-12): Learning Staircase – 3/20/23
MS Baseball, Softball, Track & Field (7-8): Locations at HS TBD – Start date 4/3/23
Students need to be registered prior to the first day of practice. Online registration for all 2022-23 activities is open. All registrations need to be completed online through Affinety.
- Don’t have an account yet? Click on the above Affinety link and select the button on the right side of the SmartSchoolK12 homepage to set it up. You will need to call the support line at 1.800.934.2621 to get your “Family Key” for account activation.
- All athletes must have a current sports physical on file with the Activities Office in order to participate. Copies can be emailed to Tanya Giese – tgiese@isd138.org. Families can check on their students’ sports physical date under the “Manage Student” tab once you’re in the Sports & Activities portion of the online registration system. Sports physicals are good for three years.
- Practice and game schedules will be posted to the Mississippi8 website. Many of the schedules are still being set. Coaches will provide the most accurate information as it becomes available. Sign up for the “Notify Me” option to get updates on schedule changes and cancellations.
