On Wednesday, Oct. 24, North Branch Area Middle School, along with schools and organizations across the country celebrated Unity Day - taking a stand against bullying behavior! On Tuesday student council members stayed after school to decorate the school with orange banners and orange messages at entrances. The purpose of the event is to send a clear message that students and staff care about each and every student and that bullying will not be accepted in school or the community.
Each homeroom received a pledge to be signed by students. Once kids renewed their pledge for this school year, they "earned their stripes". Every student signing the pledge was eligible to receive 2 (temporary) eyeblack tattoos.
SKOL! and thanks to middle school staff for a great day!
