Gary Amoroso presented NBAPS with a $1,000 check that will be used to provide a scholarship to a 2019 graduate considering a career in education.
The NBAPS school board held its regular meeting on Thursday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m. in room 126 of the North Branch Area Education Center. Superintendent's report: Dr. Gary Amoroso of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) presented the school district with a check for $1,000 in honor of Supt. Deb Henton's service as MASA president for the 2018-19 school year. Supt. Henton indicated she would use the funds to provide a scholarship for a 2018-19 graduate considering a career in education.

Transportation: After much discussion, the school board voted against providing transportation services for Phoenix Academy due to Phoenix's failure to officially notify the school district of its intention to seek transportation services by the state-imposed deadline of March 1.
In other news: The school board set June 13 for its annual public hearing on student fees, and approved the administration of a random sample community survey.
