The NBAPS school board held its work session at 5:30 p.m. on June 27, in the media center at the Sunrise River School. The agenda included reviews of both the results of the recent community survey, and the superintendent's goals for 2019-20. Here is a podcast of the meeting, and here are the meeting materials.
Community Survey: Kelly Smith, from Baker Tilly, reviewed results from the recently conducted random-sample survey of the community. Those results can be viewed as part of the meeting materials. The school board discussed a possible operating levy for the fall 2019 and and determined now is not the time for an operating levy election. The school board directed Supt. Henton to instead begin an information and educational campaign on the subject of school funding.
