March 19: Thank you for your patience!

Dear Families,

Thank you all for the incredible words of support, and offers of assistance the school district has received from families and the community at large over the last week. This is a significant challenge to our nation and it has been inspiring to see the way the NBAPS community has risen to the occasion and is working together.

Right now, staff are working hard to develop a teaching model to serve students remotely starting on March 30 if necessary. We do not yet know for certain what lies beyond the end of this planning period (March 27), but we are planning on the assumption that remote learning may be needed for an indefinite period of time starting March 30. It could be longer, it could be shorter.

In the midst of this planning you may hear from staff who are exploring and testing ways to communicate with your student(s) during the remote learning period.

Please know that March 30 is a target date provided by the state, but as yet we do not have an official directive from the state as to what will happen on that date. When a decision is reached at the state level, the school district will report that decision to all families using traditional communication methods. Until that time, we ask that you keep in mind that all planning for remote learning beginning on March 30 is just that and will remain so until announced by the state and shared with all families.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time!
