Congratulations to Norse ALC students, Savannah Alger, Ada Stone, and Rae Dykhoff, for taking first place in the Community Service Project category at the MAAP STARS competition in Mankato last week.
MAAP (Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs) hosts a STARS (Success, Teamwork, Achievement, Recognition, and Self-esteem) competition each year where students from across the state compete in many different categories.
Besides winning the Community Service Project, all three students earned a Gold rating in Employment Interview, Savannah Alger earned a Silver rating in Public Speaking, and all three created Art for the Art Display category. Congratulations again to these three students and their advisors, Mindy Lattimore and Chris Thompson. SKOL!

It's going to be a beautiful morning for Walk and Roll to School! We gather at the public library starting at 7:05 am and begin walking and rolling at 7:15 am. See flier for additional details and we hope to see you there!

After Career Day events concluded today, students enjoyed a BBQ lunch, games like bags, softball, and obstacle courses, as well as the first annual NBAHS Car Show! Thanks to all the businesses and individuals that made Future Forward 2025 such a great day!

Last Friday a celebration was held at NBAHS for Dameion Palmer, Alexis Lemon, and Nora Long, who have all completed the Ford ACE program this school year. Representatives from Ford corporate and Anderson Koch Ford came to recognize the three students and brought some Ford and DeWalt products to celebrate the accomplishment. Each student's family was on hand as well. Way to go Dameion, Alexis, and Nora!

Earlier this month students in Mrs. Cook’s Small Animal Science courses participated in the first annual North Branch Area High School AKC Dog Show. Students were tasked with researching the AKC breed of their choice and creating a life-size 2-D replica of their breed according to the standard of perfection. Students then competed In a bracket-style showdown with others in their class to be awarded the coveted “Best in Show” prize by their peers.
Winners were Sevrin B. With his French Bulldog, Kadence S. With her Doberman Pinscher, and Addison L with her Alaskan Malamute. Congratulations!
