Mental Health Awareness Poster Contest Winners!
Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month? Chisago County Public Health organized a poster contest to promote mental health awareness amongst students and community members. Four students were chosen to earn recognition and three of the four students were North Branch Area Middle School students! Each student had a unique interpretation of the theme and their own way to portray the importance of this topic. The winners were:
Daylynn Unrein--8th grade (butterfly)
Sydelle Jasmer--7th grade (reaching hands)
Abigail Autey--7th grade (pointing hands)
Congratulations to these students and a huge THANKS to everyone who participated in this contest!

It's going to be a beautiful morning for Walk and Roll to School! We gather at the public library starting at 7:05 am and begin walking and rolling at 7:15 am. See flier for additional details and we hope to see you there!

These middle school artists never fail to amaze with their creativity and talent!
7th graders just completed an Animal Pointillism drawing project in art class. They free-hand drew their chosen animal, using their best proportion based on their reference. Students were challenged to use thousands of Sharpie dots to include the full 10-point grayscale in their animals. The variety of animals chosen really shows off the student’s personalities and interests!

REMINDER: NBAHS is still looking for people who would like to show off their wheels for high school students next Monday afternoon! See the flier for details. It's going to be a great day for a car show; the forecast calls for a high of 79!

NBAMS 6th grade Spanish students spent a week creating games to teach Kindergarten Spanish students basic conversation words. The 6th graders then visited the Ed Center and spent the class period teaching and playing their games with the younger students. Sounds like fun!
